The New York Kite Center owned and operated by Captain John Pereira in Amityville, NY on the Great South Bay. The project initially started as a BEST Kiteboarding School in 2008, with John taking over the business in 2009. Pereira is an IKO Certified Instructor Level II and has been kiting for over decade. His experience teaching the sport goes many years and his knowledge has spread throughout the business and local community. We are an IKO Affiliated school that places a strong emphasis on safety, harnessing the power of nature, and having a ridiculously fun time!
